Tucson-based songwriter, vocalist, and keyboardist Alassane Diarra blends progressive jazz and art rock, drawing inspiration from Radiohead, Kneebody, and David Bowie. His soft, introspective vocals contrast with intricate arrangements, and he has performed with Jenny Lewis on Harry Styles’ “Love on Tour” and Courtney Marie Andrews on NPR’s Tiny Desk. His track “Moot Points” features acclaimed jazz musicians Rachel Eckroth (St. Vincent) and Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie). This will be an intimate show where Alassane will be performing music from his 2020 EP Yield, some interpretations of songs that have inspired him over the years, as well as new material that has yet to be released.
